The mina heranadez Legacy Award
This annual award celebrates a member of the broader community who embodies Mina’s spirit of generosity, curiosity, and inclusion. It is open to anyone who wishes to learn about the Krewe, present a costume, and become part of our family.
This award is not just a gift—it is an invitation. An invitation to step into tradition, creativity, and community. To walk in Mina’s footsteps and carry forward her legacy of love and inclusion.
Mina was more than a Ball Captain—she was a guiding light. Her devotion to the Krewe of Petronius and her unwavering kindness made her a beloved figure in our community. She welcomed all with open arms, shared her knowledge freely, and made everyone feel seen.
This award is our way of saying: You are welcome here. It is our way of showing love and devotion to a lady who gave so much. It is our promise to always remember her, to carry her spirit forward, and to ensure that her legacy continues to inspire.
